EFCC Names Dele Oyewale As New Spokesperson


The acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulkarim Chukkol, has appointed Dele Oyewale as the new Head of Media and Publicity of the agency.

The appointment followed the appointment of the former spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren as the acting Director of the new Department of Public Affairs of the commission.

The appointment of Oyewale is with immediate effect from Thursday, September 28, 2023.

Oyewale has worked with various news outlets including The News, Tempo, PM News, and Tell Magazine.

He has received awards including the Nigerian Media Merit Awards as the Industry Reporter of the Year 2002 and 2003, the Business Reporter of the Year 2003 and 2005, the Aviation Reporter of the Year 2004 and 2005, and the Banking and Finance Reporter of the Year, 2005.

Oyewale holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism from the Nigeria Institute of Journalism.

He also holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Oyo State.

Rivers State House of Assembly has screened and  confirmed Opobo-born Barrister Lawrence Oko-Jaja, SAN, as Chairman of the Board of Rivers State Bureau on Public Procurement (RSBoPP). Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike has said that the support of his administration to PAMO University of Medical Sciences, Port Harcourt since its inception, has proven to be worthwhile, and therefore, not misplaced.
